Romanian wedding traditions and customs

The groom must go visit his in-laws before requesting their daughter in marriage. If they have the in-laws approval, they can get married. The wedding pair must first engage, only then they can get married.
The wedding pair must choose one or more godparents, who must be also married. They must be invited and given a gift as well.
A groomsman and a maid of honor must be chosen by the wedding pair. On the wedding day, the escort is led by the groomsman and the maid of honor who go with the musicians to the groomís house. Then they go after the godparents, then the bride.
The bride must share badges amongst the godfathers and the groom. Afterwards, the maids of honor continue sharing the badges to the parents-in-law and the groomsmen.
After that, they go to the civil marriage, and only after they go to the religious wedding where they receive the wedding rings and crowns then they dance around the altar.
At the restaurant, the wedding is begun by the wedding pair with the brideís waltz, then the bride is stolen, then the cake is brought and the wedding pair must slice it together.
The bride throws the bouquet in the air and the woman who catches it will be the next bride. The bride then replaces her veil with a red scarf.
Before leaving, the invitees leave a wedding gift to the wedding pair. The groom then moves the bride doorstep in his arms and after a few days the two of them leave for their honeymoon.
